'Huey & Louey'

CHIEF SNIFFERS

These two friendly Pot Belly pigs have come from GreenAcres rescue centre. They LOVE having their tummies tickled, almost as much as they love their food.

About Us

'Jasper, Blue, Buddy & Jerry'

HEADS OF ATTENTION SEEKING

We have two beautiful whippets and two friendly dachshunds who will definitely come and say hello. They love to visit everyone for cuddles and attention.

The Chickens

HEADS OF EGG PRODUCTION

We have countless chickens scratching around the yard who have come to us from various sources, including battery farms. We are delighted that they are now living their best, free-ranging lives. Ask us if you would like some eggs.

'Troy'

HEAD OF GRASS MANAGEMENT

Just look at that beautiful face! He likes routine, long walks in the countryside and likes to be in bed at sundown.

'Cookie, Cream, Blizzard, & Frank'

HEADS OF COMEDY

Our alpacas are fun-loving and fancy free. We are in the middle of making them more comfortable around people, so please don’t approach them without one of us present.

'Tom, Katana & Rose'

HEADS OF MOUSE MANAGEMENT

Our 3 wonderful, semi-feral rescue cats have all joined us from GreenAcres rescue centre. You may notice Rose who only has one eye, or Tom who likes nothing better than to hide in a bucket … Katana is the shyest out of the three.

'Bluey'

HEAD OF VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS

Blue is our antisocial male peacock who often shows off his long tail feathers. If you’re lucky you may find one of his feathers on the ground – his little going away gift for you!

'Annie and Alma'

THE WELCOMING COMMITTEE

Annie and Alma, a mother and daughter duo, arrived from the Donkey Sanctuary late 2022. They can be found in the paddock at the front of the Lodge and may welcome you with a rather large ‘HeeHaw!’

Lionel

Abandoned on the main road in Cosheston, Lionel the Goat found himself in a precarious situation. However, luck was on his side as he was offered a place to stay at Quarry Wood, under the condition that he behaves himself.
